See How ChatGPT Hilariously Roasts Ford And Toyota Full-Size Pickup Trucks

#

ChatGPT is everywhere these days, but people are finding more creative ways to utilize the service daily. This weekend, YouTuber Pickup Plus SUV Truck Talk decided to have ChatGPT roast some trucks from Ford and Chevy, like the ever-popular Chevy Silverado, Ford F-150, and even the GMC Sierra . Even though people are still divided on the ChatGPT service as a whole, it had some pretty accurate takes on the most popular trucks in the US.

Having ChatGPT Roast the Chevy Silverado 1500

In the Pickup Plus SUV Truck Talk video, ChatGPT takes aim at the Silverado 1500 in a hilarious but ruthless fashion. The AI bot says the Silverado is like the guy at the gym that focuses on biceps but completely skips leg day. “It’s got a big, beefy engine, but don’t ask it to do anything too demanding,” like stop quickly or take corners well.

It goes on to comment about the interior being sub-par and very plastic – “as outdated as possible.” If you like interiors from 2005, the new Chevrolet Silverado might be a great option for you. The fuel economy isn’t safe either, with a comment about “guzzling gas like a frat bro chugs beer on game day,” which, to be fair, isn’t inaccurate. Hey, fuel economy is a big issue these days!

The Ford F-150 Was Not Safe

When ChatGPT took aim at the Ford F-150 pickup truck , no element was safe. It called the Ford the smartphone of the truck world, noting that everyone has an F-150, but no one actually knows why. It might be the best-selling truck in America, but it is the “default option for people who think innovation means adding more cupholders and bigger touchscreen buttons.”

Not even the aluminum body was safe, though Ford likes to talk about its strength and safety. ChatGPT compared it to a beer can, like putting a NASA-approved sticker on a lawnmower. I do think the aluminum body is a cool (and helpful) feature to have, but I get where they are coming from.

It didn’t end there:

  • The interior is like an office on wheels if your office is a cubicle farm from the early 2000s
  • More storage compartments than a hoarder’s garage
  • The endless trim levels are a “choose your own adventure” book, but all of the endings are overpriced and overrated

Finally, The GMC Sierra 1500 Is A Goner

As the Chevy Silverado’s slightly better-dressed cousin, the GMC Sierra 1500 stood no chance. ChatGPT says the Sierra thinks he is fancy because he wears a suit to parties, but it is just the same outfit with a better tie. The trucks are very similar, so I’ll give them that. GMC has always been known to have the more upscale of the two trucks, but that isn’t always the case.

While the automaker might want you to think the Sierra is more luxurious, the “interior is about as luxurious as a mid-tier hotel room.” It might be nicer than a Model 6, but it isn’t the Ritz either. Leather seats are an upgrade, but the rest of the interior still needs some help.

Not even the GMC Sierra Denali was safe – noting it’s really just a “Sierra that’s had its ego inflated by a marketing team with too much time on its hands.”

Finally, The Toyota Tundra Is Toast

I’m not even mad about this one. The Toyota Tundra was described as the guy who wears cargo shorts to every occasion – always looking out of place. He might think he is prepared for anything, but that isn’t the case. It says Toyota might be the most reliable brand out there, but it comes off as the awkward cousin that doesn’t quite fit in. Whatever! The Tundra has earned respect over the years.

Even though ChatGPT is fun, it isn’t always accurate. These hot takes were humorous and obviously gathered from real information on the internet, but they hold no weight. I think we need to roast some other vehicles next, like the Mazda Miata and the Kia Telluride, just for good measure. When asked to roast the Miata, here’s what it had to say:

“Ah, the Mazda Miata—what a car. It’s basically the automotive equivalent of that guy who wears sunglasses indoors and thinks it’s cool. Sure, it’s light and nimble, but that’s just a nice way of saying it’s got all the horsepower of a lawnmower. Owning one is like saying, ‘I like driving with the top down… and my masculinity too.’” That’s cold, ChatGPT, very cold.
